Addressing Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes stereotypes because I& #39;m fed up of seeing them on my timeline
& #39;he& #39;s a fraud he didn& #39;t pay tax on his jet& #39; - whilst he didn& #39;t pay tax, he realised his mistake, and now doesn& #39;t even own it anymore. Why this is still a valid argument I don& #39;t know
& #39;but he lives in Monaco& #39; - as do many other drivers to add. Leclerc was born there, does it make him a fraud, NO. Albon moved there last year, does that make him a fraud, NO. Why this only applies to Lewis I don& #39;t know
& #39;he& #39;s the luckiest driver on the grid& #39; - his move to Mercedes was just well timed, he was looking to get away from McLaren, and Merc showed him their plan for the hybrid era, and he was convinced. Whilst he has the dominant car, he still has a teammate to beat
& #39;but he got beaten by Rosberg& #39; - out of their 4 years together, Lewis beat him 3 times, and in 2016 was arguably quicker, but was hindered by BOTH poor reliability and poor starts. Being beaten once doesn& #39;t mean you are a bad driver
& #39;Bottas is no competition& #39; - it& #39;s funny how Bottas was labelled a quick driver until he joined Merc, and now a poor one against Lewis. Valtteri is quick but isn& #39;t up to Lewis& #39; consistency yet
Onto Merc stereotypes now
& #39;Merc fans are bots& #39; - because Merc fans say what a good picture it is they posted somehow makes us & #39;bots& #39; all F1 fans say this under their favourite team but only Merc fans are criticised for it (Sorry Seb for using your example you aren& #39;t they only one but I& #39;d the most recent) https://twitter.com/Seb_Vettel_Fake/status/1259518419596124160">https://twitter.com/Seb_Vette...
For some reason Lewis gets hate for being in the best car. Michael didn& #39;t get any (And rightly so) when he was dominant in the Ferrari, but for some reason Merc do, even tho Michael was a dirtier driver. I just don& #39;t get it
& #39;a typical Hamilton fan& #39; - what the fu*k does this even mean??? Being criticized for being a Lewis fan and your opinion is IMMEDIATELY wrong because you are one is unacceptable
Personal experience here - somebody (not naming), well known with 600 followers spammed my DM& #39;s for days with hate purely for being a Lewis fan. I& #39;d never interacted with them in my life (but some of you have since I can see you follow them), only stopped once I& #39;d blocked them
Just by being a Merc fan there & #39;has to be something wrong with you& #39; and I& #39;ve been told & #39;many people hate you& #39; By being a Lewis fan I seem to be hated by people even tho I& #39;ve never talked with them
Onto more stereotypes now
If you joined Twitter 2018 or later you are assumed to be a DTS fan. Firstly this isn& #39;t the case, secondly there is unfair prejudice against DTS fans, and finally why should this make a difference? Some people pathetically use this as an argument when they are loosing
(another Lewis one since I forgot it) & #39;Hamilton fans are DTS fans& #39; - this is the strangest argument because if anything, new fans don& #39;t support the winning driver
Being a Lewis fan comes with so much hate. It& #39;s the reason I only made this account last year and not before, as I was afraid of potential backlash (which I got) it& #39;s also why until recently I never showed my real name, as people can personalize hate towards you
Other hate here, being a Lando fan, firstly you assume they are a DTS fan, not true. Personally, I actually met Lando when he was competing in British F3, and followed his career ever since. For some, being a Lando fan is stereotypically bad, and for really no reason
(Again something else I get angry at) Homophobic tweets - completely not acceptable, most recently from a specific account, but in the past from others too. This is exactly why some are afraid of coming out, as they receive so much backlash from certain people
I could make so many more points but I am fed up now. If anybody replies to any of this with negativity, I& #39;ll completely ignore you. This thread was supposed to get this out of me but it hasn& #39;t so I& #39;ll probably take a few days off of Twitter. I& #39;ll be back, but I don& #39;t know when
