A thread on why Dak Prescott has faced immense criticism despite his best statistical season:
Dak was touted as a winner. In 2019, when the Cowboys needed him most, he laid an egg. Dak, Zeke and Amari will be the Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Lambo of the Cowboys offense.

9 points in the game that mattered? PUKE.
Dak ran a summer camp-like clinic on bottom dwellers, but it seemed when the lights got brighter in 2019, he faded. If the Cowboys would’ve made the playoffs, this wouldn’t even be brought up. But they didn’t, so you take a closer look at these season-defining losses.
Another example of this split, using two AFC East opponents. One is a contender and the other picked in the top five. Again, a playoff berth puts these questions to rest. But when these flops cost your team its season, you’ll hear about it.

“Which Dak are we getting today?” - Cowboys fans on game day in 2019
The games before and after the Week 16 game that decided the division in Philadelphia.

Debilitating shoulder injury? Really? Or was inconsistency just the theme of Dak’s 2019 campaign?
Many have pointed to “garbage time”, and here’s why:
Look, I’m not here to argue about this. Dak Prescott’s stats without context tell a completely different story than when you add context.

I have SEEN Dak step up in big games in the past to help the Cowboys win divisions and compete in the playoffs. He doesn’t get my pass.
An 8-8 season doesn’t fall solely on one player — but this thread shows how Dak contributed to that 8-8.

Posting his overall statistics and acting like he did all he could while the rest of the team failed him is misleading and disingenuous.
HOLD DAK ACCOUNTABLE! He’s yet to be paid, but he’ll get his franchise dollars. He has to be better when the team needs him like he’s been in past seasons.

Expectations change when you show you’re a gamer, and now that he’s shown that, he won’t be let off the hook. Period.
