When I was in 1st grade, our teacher gave us a Mother's Day assignment. Write something like you like to do with your mom. There was a catch for some reason: each kid had to have a unique thing they did with their mom. No repeats
Why? How many things did 1st graders do with their moms? well, as a lifelong class clown/shit starter I wrote down "my mom likes to spank me" - This was a lie. My mom never spanked me.
Anyway, that Sunday after Mass the parents were invited into the school to see the Mother's Day art we had made. There in the hallway were all the construction paper projects we had made. My mom, along with all the other moms got to see my work: My Mom Like To Spank Me
It crushed my mom. How embarrassing! My dad was very upset with me and ironically came very close to spanking me! Of course I have no memory of this, only the memory of the story being told over the years.
So... Sorry mom! And F U to stupid, confusing First Grade assignments! #HappyMothersDays
