I’ve felt a little put out by how together some people’s apartments look online over the past few weeks. I think I’ve cracked the code:
- get matching sheets and bed stuff
- put a rug somewhere
- curtains
- plant
- a tonne of shit on the walls

When I first moved in three (four?) years ago, I hung my curtains with duct tape and used an empty cereal box as a cutting board. I didn’t buy any furniture until Year 2. I still own five plates, cutlery for two, and assorted glasses/mugs.

The idea of decorating and buying stuff just right now made me want to throw myself out the window. I finally got rid of a chair my aunt bought me two years ago. It was the only furniture I had and it felt GREAT.

Might do a fake plant though those do seem to add a nice element of not looking like you’re on the edge of a breakdown
