okay, lets talk about bokuto and this perspective we got this chapter.

first, let’s talk about how important it is to have an “ordinary ace” in your team, like bokuto.
ordinary: with no special or distinctive features; normal.
by ordinary, we can say he has no special feature
not a surprisingly distinctive characteristic, bokuto is not a lefty, he is not a short person with an incredible vertical (like hinata or hoshiumi), he does not have sakusa’s flexible wrists that allow him to do those amazing cross shots, and he’s also not incredibly tall.
but from my perspective as a volleyball player, playing against “ordinary aces” is actually harder than it looks, with players that have other specific features, if you are a tactical genius it’s easier to find weak spots, like, if you play against ushijima
at some point you WILL be able to adjust to his type of plays, and at some point of the game you will end up adjusting to the fact that he’s a lefty, and he might not be able to hit EVERYTHING, due to that fact.
having an ordinary player in your team is absolutely necessary, like bokuto or romero, they are players that will hit every set you give to them, and they will find a way to score point in a way that will surprise you in some way or another.
we can say that bokuto is almost a “easy path” to score points, every team has one, for the adlers that is also romero’s part.
bokuto being an ordinary ace is what makes him a important player in the team and he is one of those players that will build a strong ground for other players like hinata and sakusa to shine and do crazy plays.
and from ordinary aces we might also get tricked into thinking they will always use only force while hitting straights and cross shots, and then they might pull a unexpected play like this one.
and to finish this off i will say, bokuto is part of the strong pillars of the team, just like romero is to the adlers, and just like ishikawa and nishida are for the japanese team, thank ya
