Iran is losing influence in Iraq. The new Iraqi prime minister is said to have close ties with the U.S.
Prior to his vote of confidence, the U.S. was providing only 30-day windows to purchase desperately needed electricity from Iran.

Once the new Iraqi PM was sworn in, the US extended the window to 120 days. This could be an indication that the US is gaining influence in Iraq & pushing Iran out of Baghdad.
