sad fukurodani lost but at the same time im glad they did bc it meant bokuto fully embracing what it meant to be an ace through & through, given ups or downs. not just ace by name or by his team’s support. bokuto was slammed to the ground yet he yanked himself up. the worlds ace.
i could have worded this better so i will: we know bokuto as fukurodani’s ace. because he is. he is also the baby of the team; his plays are easily influenced by internal/external factors like venue, atmosphere, etc. and this leads to the team working around his quirks +
at the same time bokuto has always lived by the 3 principles of being an ace. to drive the point home no matter what. he was ultimately faced with a battle against himself. on how HE is going to perform as the ace and not having to rely on his teammates saving his bum +
when the going gets tough. i see fukurodani losing nationals as what drove the point home for bokuto to stand firm, unwaveringly, and face the frickin ball. no way around it. big venue or small. solid momentum or not. +
our owlet grew up into a full fledged adult owl. bokuto learned how stand firm and fly, carrying the team on his solid and reliable back with confidence.
tl;dr bokuto word vomit im still shaking i love him so much ignore this thread
