TIL a bunch of putatively progressive people on a journey to anti-anti-Trumpism, decided to pretend that since the U.S. mythology of WWII isn't all true, it means today's Russian government doesn't manipulate Trump for sport in really unsubtle ways. But yes, I am dumb and owned.
