To put a name to it, its called 'Above the Keyboard Dressing'

It's basically business up top, and party down below.

Now obviously you don't have to worry about the bottoms you're wearing unless you have to stand up for something.

So just make sure you're prepared with what you need before the call and you can show up in your boyshorts

But up top, simplicity and functionality is

. Whatever you wear above the waist will be the best opportunity for self-expression...all designed depending on the constraints of the screen frame.

So all this means the emphasis should be on necklines, shapes of sleeves, eyewear, bold earrings, necklaces, and grooming.

Here are some examples of what I mean:

These are just some examples to get your ideas going.

Start searching your closets for tops with shapes similar to these, they show up well on camera!

Now let's talk colors. You need to create a contrast between your what you're wearing and your background.

Tip: Light colored background + Dark colored top OR Dark colored background + Light colored top.

Choose your clothing colors according to your skin undertone.

Cool undertone: Blue, Grey, Rose, Lavender, Emerald
Warm undertone: Olive, Coral, Cream, Honey
Neutral: Red, Jade, White, Blue

I would stick to solid colors, but prints and patterns work fine as long as they don't clash with your background environment.
