Correction: In the course of a conversation with Mayor @KeishaBottoms earlier today I said of Biden accuser Tara Reade “there are people in her world, her friends and apparently her mother, who vouched for what she is saying.”

2/ To be clear: Reade’s brother and two others have said Reade told them about the allegation at or around the time she says they happened. (Biden denies the allegation completely.)

3/ (Their specifics have changed, as have Reade’s; she says she finally got comfortable enough to tell the whole story and others followed her lead. Biden backers suggest the changing story undermines its credibility).

4/ But to correct: Reade’s mother called in to Larry King Live in 1994 and referred to “problems” Reade had in Biden’s office —- but she wasn’t specific about what they were. I regret the error.
