Before I tell you the top 5 Skills pharmacists all over the world are learning right now,

I'll first tell you the top 5 challenges pharmacists are facing right now.

Let's do some unlearning before we start learning.

1. Supply Chain disruption.
From Insulin to Hand Sanitizers...
From Downstream to way Upstream.... Retail Rx to MNCs...

Pharmacists all over the world are bending over backwards to deal with unprecedented disruptions in supply chain due to COVID-19.

2. Relevance.
Despite the health Pandemic, Pharmacists all over the world are still battling to remain relevant in the eyes of the government, security agencies, and even patients.

3. Livelihood
Pharmacists are facing countless limitations in practice.
Dwindling opportunities. Health risks. Low profits.
Survival mode has been activated by many pharmacists across the world.

4. Adoption of Technology

Our previously hands-on profession has to quickly adapt to digital solutions or face rapid extinction.

Tech Disruptions in: drug modelling, medication distribution, patient consultation, continuous education, etc incoming.

5. Lack of identity, cohesiveness, and self confidence as a profession.

Too many Pharmacists but not enough Pharmacists.

Learn to read:
Skimming. Scanning. Intensive. Extensive.

Learn to Write:
Expository. Persuasive. Narrative. Descriptive.

Persuasive. Informative

Dear Rx,
The best time to take a digital media course was 5 years ago.

The next best time is NOW.

Content creation, Social Media management, Email marketing, Teleconferencing, LinkedIn optimization

Now is not the time for a one trick pharmacist.

Ability to go back and forth between two or more activities, teams, or sources of information without being confused will be richly rewarded.

Negotiate. Everything.

When Buying:
Never pay top dollar. There is always a discount. Buy closer to the source.

When Selling:
Sell Value. Packaging matters. Leverage relationships.

Finally, Pharmacists all over the world agree that it's time to work together With each other, with other HCPs, and with regulators.

Learn how to collaborate on tasks to solve increasingly bigger problems.
