Vietnam: 96 million people, 288 cases and 0 deaths.

South Africa: 58 million people, 9,420 cases and 186 deaths.

South Korea: 52 million people, 10,874 cases and 256 deaths.

US: 328 million people, 1.35 million cases and over 80,000 deaths.

It didn’t have to be this way.
New Zealand is a smaller country, so I didn’t include it, but with strong, science-driven leadership it has effectively eliminated COVID.

All these nations have one thing in common: they immediately took swift and decisive action. The US did not. That’s the difference.
Australia avoided a widespread outbreak. Germany contained initial surges through quick action and extensive testing. Italy and Spain, both hit very hard, have a better recovery trajectory. The list of examples to show how badly the Trump admin has failed us is nearly endless.
