There was a basketball court atop a roof on Above The Rim. Nutso slapped the backboard so hard that he broke the backboard and flew off the roof. That has got to be the most unbelievable thing ever caught on film.
The building owner could’ve been sued and Tommy Sheppard wouldn’t have to work as a security guard who ran away from all his problems. He would’ve stayed in New York and helped his smart but easily influenced brother, Birdie not turn to a life of crime.
Tommy would’ve coached at his old school were he could’ve taught Kyle Watson how to strengthen up that weak ass left to right cross. Flip wouldn’t have been homeless and challenging people to games where the loser gets kicked in the ass.
Instead, Shep wanders the earth for 20 years with PTSD from watching his friend lose his life simply because he had the strongest hands in the world (how else you explain a man slapping a backboard so damn hard it breaks?) and his brother be a mid level drug dealer
Sheppard comes back out of the blue and kicks the ass of the young star player at his old school WHILE macking on that player’s lonely mother. Kyle probably wanted to murder everything moving at the time
