"Hey tell me about this horse racing sport"

What do you want to know?

"Who& #39;s your favorite horses to watch?"

There& #39;s a bunch but they are retired

"Retired? How long do they race?"

The good ones, a few years then breed

"Ok. Can you win money betting?"

Sure
"Ok how do I figure out my horse to bet?"

PPs

"Where do I get that?"

Most cases you have to buy it

"Oh. Ok bought one. What is this?"

There& #39;s some videos on YouTube

"This seems like a lot of info"

It takes a few years to get the hang of it

"Ok. I like the 7 here at 6-1"
GL

AND THEY& #39;RE OFF

"Why is the 7 now 2-1?"

Computer players

"What?"

It& #39;s complicated

AND HEEEEEERES THE 7

"That Pete guy is exciting"

The best

"My win seems a little light"

Oh that& #39;s takeout, like 17%

"That& #39;s more than sports betting"

Yeah
"Who& #39;s that silver haired guy?"

Bob Baffert

"He must be really good"

He won the Derby 5 times

"Who won last year?"

It& #39;s complicated

"How? 1st horse crosses line. Wins"

DQ& #39;d for interference. 2nd horse wins

"That trainer must have been sad"

He got arrested

"What!"
Yeah

"For what?"

Feds say he drugged his horses

"That& #39;s horrible. Does anyone else?"

Uhhhh
If you& #39;re upset why the sport isn& #39;t marketed well and not on more during the pandemic maybe examine why. This "conversation" isn& #39;t really that far fetched to a newbie and if you& #39;re trying to sell racing does this sound appealing? Fix first, then market. That& #39;s the order. Period
