I read the complaint from our century's PT Barnum @elonmusk against Alameda Co. CA @HedgeyeIndstrls and anyone who thinks he wants $tsla Fremont factory to open anytime soon is one of those suckers born every minute.
Yes, public health authorities have crazy broad powers to suspend civil rights during a health emergency and they did. Yes, the state order excluded critical infrastructure industries which includes vehicle manufacture from their order but Alameda Co did not so closed $tsla is.
So the next question becomes when can $tsla Fremont factory open? Well that is up to Alameda Co as Governor has said he is deferring to counties. Alameda Co has done a fantastic job managing #COVID19 and wants a safety plan from $tsla to avoid any backsliding.
So where is $tsla safety plan? Given how unserious this company is, I am guessing they don't have one. And it is in @elonmusk's interest (not to mention a requirement of his extreme narcissim) to not produce one and shift blame for not making and selling cars to Alameda Co.
Another advantage of the lawsuit stunt is to potentially invite DOJ involvement which has warned against extended and draconian measures. I doubt that will happen; @elonmusk is too undependable for DOJ to wade into that.
And the arguments made in the lawsuit are about as unserious as $tsla is.
To end, if @elonmusk and $tsla were serious about reopening the Fremont factory they would be producing a plan, training employees and communicating to shareholders. Instead they are manufacturing a controversy to shift blame for being what they have always been: a crappy company
