While I respect Dave and his knowledge and do agree that these movies should be about hope, I disagree with most of what he says here about Qui-Gon and the duel of the fates. I'm not trying to start an argument. Just saying that I've been watching these movies a long time and have never gotten this. Qui-Gon would not have been a good father figure and saying Anakin never had a father figure to look up to without him is frankly inaccurate.

Not going to expound further. Just had to get it off my chest.
