I'd just like a government anywhere in the UK to invest heavily in a campaign about keeping your physical distance from other people when you are out for whatever reason, what it looks like and why it matters, and to target it cleverly at those who need reminding most.
The argument seems to focussing almost entirely on how much people should go out and why, when how they (we) behave when they (we) are round other people is critical, whatever.
Two adults cycled past us on a 3 foot wide pavement yesterday. I and child had back to oncoming traffic. The road is a major one but it is also flat and was quiet. Cyclists had no obvious reason not to be cycling on it. We are up against this level of public incomprehension.
