A thread: The pandemic is proving we’re capable of being innovative in reaching out and connecting with our fellow humans. However that reach stops sort when it comes to accessibility. With the current technology it’s now easier than ever to include a BSL interpreter to an online
event and/or to caption your videos to make it accessible. With deaf and hard of hearing community this access is more important than ever. That is why we have asked @VirtualPride20 with their supporters @lynx @VaselineBrand @superdrug @DIVAmagazine @switchboardLGBT for
information about access for deaf and hard of hearing people for this exciting online event. They are not the only event, but they are fast becoming one of the biggest online pride event which others will look to as an example.
We hope by getting access to the virtual pride event, the WHOLE queer community can be included rather than the few #prideinclusion #prideaccess #DeafAwarenessWeek #deafqueer #pride #virtualpride #accessibilty #deaflgbtiqa #deaflgbt @stonewalluk @PrideBrighton @LGBTConsortium
