In the past week, due to increased Venezuelan Military activity some interesting non standard guns have been spotted in Venezuelan military use. Starting with this Venezuelan Marine using an IMI Galil, unknown origin, but used by both the Colombian military and FARC
#Venezuela
A suppressed AK-103, very rare to see any suppressors used, especially on the AK-103 in Venezuela
FAES in Petare, 2 of the officers were using the AKS, there has been an increase in the use of non standard AKs in the past year, its possible that Venezuela has bought some from Cuba sometime last year.
Usually high ranking military officers have their own personal guns, such as this M16 below with full camouflage, camouflage is something not usually seen on these ‘status’ guns
Another example of a ‘Status’ gun is this Steyr AUG.
Colectivos in the 23 de enero neighbourhood in Caracas also surprisingly have an M1 Carbine and a Sterling submachine gun, it’s unknown how either ended up in Caracas.
Seen last week at Padrinos speech from Fuerte Tiuna was this Beretta CX4, another status gun.
2 different variants of the MP5 were also seen at the same event at Fuerte Tiuna, the one closest is an MP5K and the one at the back is a very old MP5, including a straight magazine. Both of these are also ‘status’ guns
And one of the most interesting was this Lieutenant colonels status gun, a beretta with a RONI carbine extension kit, he’s even balancing a fully loaded magazine on his arm.
And yes those are fake night vision goggles, they’re actually toy ones from a child’s hero force toys.
This photo from February showcases Cuba’s support for Venezuela. Cuban AKMs in the hands of the Milicia. It’s unknown when they were transferred to Venezuela but they have problems with arming the milicia which is why most are equipped with Mosin Nagants
