I’m starting with a Hollywood classic: Liz Taylor & Eddie Fisher who was married to her close friend Debbie Reynolds. Liz then left Eddie for her Cleopatra costar Richard Burton.

Debbie & Liz ended up repairing their friendship.

Carrie Fisher revealed in her memoir The Princess Diarist she had a three month long affair with Harrison Ford. Despite the media romanticizing the news, the book actually details a pretty tragic relationship in how he treated her back then.

Stanley Tucci left his first wife for Edie Falco in 2002 but he eventually ended the relationship and went back to his wife who later passed in 2009, the same year he was nominated for an Oscar.

In 2003 Billy Crudup left the very pregnant Mary Louise Parker for Claire Danes. This was probably the biggest celeb gossip before Brangelina. It almost destroyed Danes career. Parker also detailed the devastating effects of the affair in her 2015 memoir.

Billy Bob Thornton left fiancée Laura Dern for Angelina Jolie while she was away filming a movie. Billy and Angie had a 20 year age gap & a very public & intense relationship where they wore vials of each other’s blood around their necks. They divorced after a 3 year marriage.

Ted Danson had a messy affair with Whoopi Goldberg that resulted in a $30 million divorce from his second wife of 17 years in 1993. And yes... they stupidly did the Blackface skit that ended up raining all kinds of hellfire on them. The relationship ended not long after.

LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian were both married when they began an affair on the set of a shitty Lifetime movie. Cibrian’s divorce from Brandi Glanville and her feud with the new couple was highly publicized as she tweeted through it & stars on RHOBH. The other 2 are still married.

Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid were married for 10 years. At first their divorce was blamed on Ryan’s affair with Russell Crowe. However years later Ryan said she her marriage had been crumbling and after filing Quaid’s affairs came to light.

Katharine McPhee was married when she was also caught having an affair with television director Michael Morris who was married to actress Mary McCormack. Morris and McCormack remained together but McPhee divorced Nick Cokas and is now married to David Foster.

In 2012 Kristen Stewart was caught with Snow White director Rupert Sanders while he was married to model Liberty Ross and she was in a very public relationship with Robert Pattinson. In response she wrote an open letter apologizing to RPatz.
