So, I said let’s talk about gay right in the Maldives and there’s been some interesting takes by a lot of people. Here’s a few things I’d like to address.
1. Why talk about it? Bc the queer community exists. Acknowledging it doesn’t take away from anyone’s rights
2. Saying queer community should have rights doesn’t mean I have turned from God. That’s not for any of you to decide either
3. Accepting they exist doesn’t mean you are one of them (this is obviously about y’all who think people become gay by association)
4. Saying let’s talk about gay rights doesn’t constitute crucifixion - Islam doesn’t practice that, do your reading
5. Acknowledging gay rights is not a stepping stone to accepting incest - take a seat, we’re not here to copulate with family
6. Heterosexuality for procreation really isn’t a reason to continue pretending the queer community doesn’t exist

Let’s be real, they’re part of our society; they have always been. And it’s not changing anytime soon. Some insightful opinions though. Thank you.
Oh and, one more thing. Being part of the queer community is nothing like being a cannibal. No, sir. These are incomparable examples. Let’s not make stupid comparisons for the sake of argument.
