I've seen a lot of tweets lately, like this one, that fall into this genre: Purposely inflating the risk at other places to justify doing something which would be foolish and reckless in the age of a pandemic. 1/
The Candy store enacted strict restrictions to limit the people in the store. Walmarts and grocery stores also have restrictions in place, and constant cleaning going on. It's not a freaking Halsey concert, and if they're as you insist, you should be calling the state. 2/
My son played Legion ball. I'd love for you to explain to me how the hell you plan on players social distancing in the tiny dugouts? Who will be constantly wiping down bases and bats? Will we social distance the batter and catcher? Will we stop steals and leading off? 3/
Fans? Great until some idiots say face masks and guidelines don't apply to them, probably in the 1st inning. And what about teams where there are sick players? Do you send your team to their field, or do they just forfeit their games? That doesn't seem fair? 4/
And we already know there will be parents, with a kid who is sick, telling, no ORDERING their kid to go play and not tell the coach they're sick. "Wussies take a sick day. We're playing for a scholarship! Who cares if the other kids get sick! Now GET OUT THERE!!!" 5/
I made this thread Legion baseball specific due to the original tweet, but to all people falsely implying every store is the mosh pit at a Rammstein concert just to validate starting up a dangerous and irrational pre-pandemic activity, stop it! You're being a selfish fool. ~fin~
