My friend did the research and found out that today is likely the day of the Blitz in the 1941 scene and let me briefly geek out about this scene.

In our small group of Crowley’s very early on we all had decided our favorite era. Mine was and forever will be Blitz. https://twitter.com/oliviahennis/status/1259361827991048192
There is just so much to adore in this scene. Crowley coming to save the day but Aziraphale actually saving them both? Dropping bombs on Nazis? The Indiana Jones style feel? The swelling of gay violins??
Okay let’s start with the pure beauty of this entrance and Aziraphale’s burning wings. I will never be over this particular view and honestly need a framed print of it
Aziraphale is trying so hard to do the RIGHT THING and this may in part be because a book depository was burned in one of the recent Blitz bombings. But he’s doing it without miracles so does Heaven approve? Doesn’t matter. Our angel is fighting Nazis. He so proud of himself
In the mean time Crowley must have been waiting to see if he was needed. How long has he been keeping an eye on Aziraphale and keeping him safe? Did Aziraphale do his reports to Hell while he napped? These two need to make up already

And also this photo, my heart cannot
The instant Crowley shows up the pair no longer really care about the humans and guns and such. They’re too busy going back to married bickering. “What are you doing here?” He is in love with you you silly angel.
Also, I know as a trans person changing my name there was a holding of breath when I told it to the important people in my life. Aziraphale’s acceptance of Crowley’s name? So important. Important enough to me that this gif exists for when people dead name me
Noticing the font of Holy Water is of course an important plot point but Crowley apparently didn’t notice it wasn’t under guard. Our favorite queer disaster demon is now formulating his next plan but I have to wonder if Aziraphale also already realized the implications there
And then sure Crowley is dropping a bomb to save them but he literally places his life in Aziraphale’s hands. Splashes from holy water? What would happen if he were discorporated on consecrated ground? Either way he trusts his angel with his life
And Aziraphale does for Crowley what he wouldn’t do for himself.

But he’s worried enough about that he forgets the books. The one thing he probably would have fought to save

(It’s also worth noting that Crowley definitely also protected the Bentley)
This gif just deserves its own post because look at it and my heart and Aziraphale’s heart and Crowley is probably like what have I done and trying to hold it together looking at that face
