The enormous anger at the hipsters in the park is a ruse. Yes, hipsters are nonchalant murderers of the weak, but the reason the virus is spreading is not some dude with a moustache having a bbq, but rather that 40% of the population are still being forced to go out to work.

The real criminals here are the class of business owners, squeezing every last drop of profit from a workforce, and the government that collude with this. The people who are spreading the virus are out of their houses, but they are not to blame for it, and are mostly its victims.

And yes, the image of the hipster compounds this: their violence is founded on a special and extreme ignorance of those who are forced into dangerous and unnecessary work with little recompense. But we do also need to understand the reality of how the virus is spreading and why.

The answer is ruthless short-termism, competition, corporate greed, and the conviction that government has no responsibility to support anyone who isn't economically productive. The hipster is merely the mascot tied to the front of the juggernaut of the bourgeois class.
