Difference between Jain bakery case and halal:
1. Halal is mandatory for a Muslim religiously.
2. The idea of halal is not to boycott any community.Lot of Hindu restaurant serve halal food and Muslims cust go there(only he has to keep Muslim person for slaughter of animal)
1/n
3. Jain bakery is deliberately and publicly saying that no Muslim worker are employed here. This clearly points towards promotion of Muslim boycott.(this becomes more problematic if you consider the recent islamophobic incidents of India)
2/n
4. There is no religious law which prohibits the bakery owner to employ Muslim employees.
5. Halal is more like a Jain food or vegetarian food which is required by Jain's and Hindus due to their religious obligations.
3/n
6. I hope this thread clears some confusion and answer some questions by people who feel offended by action against Jain bakery owner.
