my feeling is the deepest evangelion gets in using any christian ideas/imagery is having eva be formed from adam. possibly specifically jewish/gnostic/kabbalistic stuff has more meaning to it idk
at the very least it doesnt seem to me like evangelion is interested in ideas christian thought is particularly concerned with, i dunno. possibly i should watch eva again before mouthing off
