My Dad is only 5'4" or so, and despite encountering other humans throughout my childhood, I just assumed he was a completely normal height, and to this day I just... forget... that we're an extremely short family.
The family home is optimised to short people which added to me not realising that it was a bit weird. Like... all the door handles are set weirdly low, as are the hooks, etc, and there's only one cupboard in the kitchen that's over the (unusually low) counter instead of below it.
I'm 5'2" and my Dad and my Grandad (on the other side of the family) are both only a few inches taller than me.

Short ppl Forever.
This thread is brought to you by me suddenly remembering the fact that I physically can't reach the hooks in my boyfriends hallway. Not even on my tiptoes.
