In Cars 2 we see that there is a Cars Pope, which means that some cars are religious. Was there a Cars Jesus?

The cars have a tsa like airport security check point. Notice the tires on the right. Was there a Cars 9/11? Cars shoe bomber?

Most people believe that the Cars exist on earth after the humans from Wall-E abandoned the planet and over time the cars became sentient. This is wrong.

The truth, as i see it. Is this:

After returning to earth most humans were still lazy and didnt want to start walking again..

So they turned themselves into cars thru a series of genetic modification and with the help of advanced technology
(2 possibilities)

Henceforth, this is why the cars have a Pope, and why they have airport security. Because they remember their past as humans. Also too this is why they have doors, to get in and out in order to swap shells once they've outgrown their current model. Much like a hermit crab would.

Other theories say that the cars are high evolved insects from A Bugs Life. Due to the beetle car with organic wings. But this is from a spin off show and not the main movies

There's also the scene with mater where we see that the birds in the Carsverse are actually just mini planes, possible evolution?

My theory is that these are a result of lab testing. prior to the humans becoming cars themselves they ran experiments on other animals. Or did they...

This brings me to the biggest hole in my theory:

Sushi

In Cars 2 we can clearly see that the cars eat actual food and not just fuel. Theres the infamous scene in which Mater mistakes wasabi for pistachio icecream. But back to sushi..

If my theory is correct and all the cars were once human, (ignoring the bug theory) and every living thing in the Carsverse is a vehicle. Then the fish that they make the sushi out of were once humans, making some, if not all of the Cars cannibals.

"But wait you just said they did tests on animals what if they're just evolved fish from the test"

Well i was wrong! There are no animals left on earth after wall-e. No animals on the space ship humans were on either.

They went straight to human testing

Its easy for the cars to cannibalize since the humans in Wall-E were all cannibals
