I don’t understand why the new norm is cancel culture. It’s so toxic and just promotes normalizing degradation. We need to learn, grow, and move on from the mistakes of the past and focus on the present and future.
Yes mistakes need to be recognized and apologized for, but whats the point in repeatedly bringing it up over and over again after it has been dealt with long ago? Why do some ppl act like one mistake you’ve made defines you as a person, it doesn’t.
You don’t necessarily have to forgive someone for what they did, but it is also not right to hold it against them when they have done everything in their power to redeem themselves.
