In honor of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth A large part is to keep mental ilness from being taboo! So I just wanted to share a bit of my story! I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD, GAD, ADHD and depression. Remind yourself and others that you are proud of their growth, no matter how small
Here’s to healing and growing at your own pace!
I also have been seeing a psychologist since my sophomore year of highschool and sometimes I see her as one of my closest friends. That’s almost 4 years! Therapy seems so scary and weird at first but I promise, if it’s something you feel you should try, it’ll help!
because of my disorders, I’ve struggled w self harm, EDs, insomnia, and OCD tendencies. Often it feels like my brain is trying to destroy me but in comparison to three years ago, I now work w my brain more than against it. It’s a hard journey but I know that I am strong.
Where ever you’re at in your mental health journey, keep fighting and pushing for your life! I believe in you! Also, If you ever wanna talk I’m here! I know how hard it can be but, I’m a strong advocate for making mental illness something easy to talk about. So pls! Luv ur self!
