we were worried it was going to have weird gender/biological essentialism bc of the premise but nothing bothered either of us. instead it felt like a look at a world without any sexual dimorphism - what would a world like this look like? what if the only conception of gender
remaining was that of woman, due to the reminants of colonization? what would a world without men actually look like? the culturally exploratory nature of the book reminds me of ursula le guins style of scifi (in the best way)
