Waiting in line and have been given our undertaking forms to fill, mainly declaring that we& #39;re ok with quarantining upto 14 days

In the last 72 hours
May 7: added to the HCI waitlist
May 7: received call from HCI confirming my intention to travel
May 8: added to AI waitlist
May 9: my details, payment requested by AI
May 10: received ticket approx 8 hours before ETD

It has been a crazy ride. Last 72 hours I can& #39;t remember what and when I& #39;ve eaten, slept approx 10 hours overall.

Love to @airindiain for handling this as well as they could in such an emergency. Responsive to queries.

My flight with British Airways got cancelled in March, but there was no one answering queries or helping with refunds.

Done with my baggage scan. Just FYI, it is very difficult to not look silly trying to put on shoes while wearing cheap rubber gloves, and glasses are foggy. Got the fingers stuck in the laces. Took me a solid 5 minutes to finish this task.

Thermal screening at boarding gate. Those with fever will not be boarded. If you show any symptoms, you will be offload-ed and put into quarantine facilities in the UK, at your cost. Pls don& #39;t fly if you have any symptoms.

Boarded after 1.5 hours delay (as of now) due to problems in ticketing. Only 2/3rds of the plane has received protective equipment as of now.
Two big boxes of packaged food and water placed on each seat.

Landed in Bengaluru airport

In flight: no hot meals or service, packaged food and water provided (enough for 3-4 meals!). Washroom access is unrestricted, but queueing for washroom in aisles not allowed.

One major let-down was that 1/3rd of the flight was not provided any protective gear. Rows 41-52 had to rely on their own supply of masks and gloves.

Generous boxes of snacks provided (3 per passenger) Will keep us going till we reach our quarantine facilities and maybe later as well.
