Am I correct that AB's govt, while concerned about liquidity in the oil and gas sector, has devoted barely any real resources to the issue? They've relaxed regulatory requirements and gave a $113m fee holiday. Other than that, and support for quarantined workers, nothing? #AbLeg
Alberta's gov't re-announced and portioned out federal reclamation dollars, which they didn't augment with provincial spending, and money to the OWA, while needed, does not help liquidity in the patch in any material sense. What am I missing here? Help me out?
I'm finding it hard to believe that, with the industry facing existential crisis, the only hope the government of Alberta can offer is a commitment to harangue the Prime Minister and relax environmental rules? I also wonder if the industry supports going all-in on that plan?
