Confirmed cases continue to grow, Active cases now growing at 5.2% - so doubling every 13 days. This is now steadily falling after 5 bad days of reversal (2 weeks after #Lockdown1 lifted). Ebb and flow will continue but trend in right direction.

1) Total confirmed cases in hotspot countries (> 50K cases).
2) Total COVID deaths across hotspot countries and in India.
Growth rate of Active cases: slowing in most countries - except Brazil, Iran, Sweden, Portugal, Peru, Qatar, Pakistan.
COVID death rate per million people:
1) Low: India, Japan, S Korea
2) High and growing: Sweden, UK, US, Canada...
1) Daily deaths in hotspot countries and in India.
2) Changes in daily deaths from previous day in hotspot countries and in India.
How are countries recovering?
1) Very well: Germany, Iran, S Korea
2) Slow: Italy, Spain & France (slower)
3) UK: has reported only 1001 recovered cases! ( @JohnsHopkins ?)
4) Yet to show overall recovery: US, UK, Russia, Brazil, India....contd.
...because Active cases are still growing in US, UK, Russia, Brazil and India.
- Note growth in Active cases in Iran (last 6 days) after many weeks of decline.
Moving to #StateHealth across India: 5Day Moving average of New cases.
1) Much needed decline in new cases-thanks to decline in MH, DL & RJ.
2) Infection growing in eastern states, reporting rise in new cases: BR, OD, JH &CH
3) Migrants from 'hotspots' need compulsory testing
Are states testing enough?
1) Need MUCH more testing (high infection prevalence): MH, GJ, DL
2) Need more testing (& contact tracing) - MP, WB, PB
3) Low but rising infection (need more testing): BR, OD, CH, JH - Compulsory testing of migrants returning from 'hotspots'.
How are Indian states recovering:
1) Very Well: KL
2) Improving: RJ, MP, UP, AP, TS, JK, KA, BR
3) Second wave: TN, HR
4) Rising recovery, but also rising active cases: GJ, DL
5) Low recovery compared to rising active cases: MH
6) Big jumps in active cases: PB & WB (high deaths)
COVID death rate per million people across states of India:
1) GJ and MH: significantly higher
2) DL : high but stabilizing
3) States pulling All-India death rate higher: GJ, MH, DL, MP & WB
