2 daycares in Canada shut down because many kids and staff got covid 19. New York is reporting 3 child deaths today and more ill due to a Kawasaki like illness related to covid they are studying there. Do we really have all the answers to expand things in BC? #bced 1/3

People say we already have kids coming into schools in #bced, but one child coming in by appt isnt same as half a class of K to 5s coming in together. I've heard social distancing isn't even really enforced in tier 1 and 2 care as there is a belief that kids aren't carriers. 2/3

Can SDs afford to not provide ppe and not enforce social distancing measures that we know work to protect and reduce transmission of covid19? How are we as professionals responsible if we ignore safety so that kids feel comfortable and then an outbreak occurs in #bced? 3/4

We have to have a workable plan that doesnt sacrifice the physical health of kids and teachers that isn't diametrically opposed to the mental and emotional health of everyone too. #bced 4/4
