I go back and forth on "why can't we just be nice to each other" talk re: ttrpgs. The hobby includes a massive white supremacist faction and being nice to them will just let them know they can keep doing their crap.
Block them, disinvite them from cons, don't buy their games.

Now, maybe that fits in the be nice ethos. I'm not someone who pushes for harassment and maybe that's nice? I'm anti-harassment of any kind because I've seen how it blows back. But it's a REALLY simplistic take that's too "fine folks on both sides" for my taste
