Hi @1African_Child @VictoriaIbiwoye

This webinar was timely, a lot of insights from @vleungzy. Did you miss it??
Here's a summary of my ✍️ on a #Thread

"Finding purpose in what you do is very key and important"
Some young professionals get into the @UN and her sister organizations via the Junior prossionals program.
@vleungzy
Its important to build lasting relationships, invest in your relationship currency. You never can tell who would refer you some day @VictoriaIbiwoye @vleungzy
Try to research on what projects your target organization are currently doing that can give you higher chances of getting in. To standout, you need a specialty, a research focus and masters degree to speak more about your experience in research.
Language skills are necessary for a desireable qualification at a location where you are applying. In Paris,you need to understand and speak French, at least work place fluent.
You need experience outside your home country to build international cross-cultural behavioral need.
Each program at the @UN @UNESCO @OECD have their own requirements. Do not limit yourself to @UN, or her sister organizations, you may want to look at opportunities you have not yet open your doors to.Try muti-national organisations such as KPMG or Deloitte.
One can also take a look at country offices, for example in Nigeria, the UN has an information centre in Lagos which you can visit and also their offices @UN_Nigeria. Ensure when you meet someone at the @UN or your desired organisation, ask the right questions.
A communication executive can't do much help getting you in as would an HR, the right question to ask could be as simple as "Can you pls refer me to the right personnel in respect to seeking an entry position/internship or a paid role"
If you can, publish an article on a sector which you have passion or experience on or have worked on previously as a project. You can as well ask an expert to help comment or endorse your publication. This can be done via LinkedIn or a research platform.
