Wasn’t expecting this to reach so many people. It’s still unfinished but I’ll start from the beginning;

It was an upside down house. Bathroom and 1 bedroom. We took the wall down between the two and added an extension into the garden. Which is now the kitchen
We changed the windows in the living room, from rectangle to square. The house itself was square so we worked with what we had keeping the theme of the house square but modern. After all this is a stepping stone to our forever home. So working with what we had was key
Upstairs was the kitchen and lounge. We created a hallway which would lead into one master bedroom, a second bedroom and a shower room
What was the kitchen is now one bedroom and one shower room
The shower room looks like this;

This half of the kitchen, now a nursery
We had built in wardrobes put in, in the master bedroom.
A year later we added another floor to the house. Making the house four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies with sea views
Balcony views from the top balcony
The house was rendered. Wood added to balcony areas. Intended to paint the wood black but still unsure. Aluminium fascia was added to the roof and under balconies. Paving on the driveway completed. Electricity box is still to be covered with wood that matches the house
Aluminium gate has been added to the side, this will be filled with the same matching wood. This leads to the front door and garden. Again a reminder that we worked with what we had. We didn’t want to pull everything down. This was the entrance to the house originally.
This week we worked on the garden. The shed was removed (again came with the house) paving was laid to match the kitchen and artificial grass square was placed. This beautiful wall was hiding behind the shed. Again, not finished. A bbq area is going to be built & seating area
Final view of the back of the house, this is where the first ever extension was added. Another skylight as you step into the kitchen. It’s still a work in progress. But very nearly complete.
A modern home by the sea is the end result to what was once a garage, then a 2 bedroom house now a four bed. For more updates you can follow my personal Instagram @petitesideofstyle or my home account @homesideofstyle
