Being a student-athlete may sometimes induce feelings of stress, anxiety, fear, & other negative emotions. It is important to know that it is ALWAYS okay to ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. Athletic Trainers are there to support both your physical AND mental health!
Athletic Trainers are trained to recognize signs and symptoms of mental health illnesses, but we can also assist in the referral process to an appropriate heath care professional who can provide further help.
As soon as we acknowledge our need for help, we allow ourselves to grow. #MentalHealthMonth #EndTheStigma
