do I smell— a thread on taylor blake and racism amongst white lesbians on a whole from the perspective of a queer Black woman?
for starters I would like to thank @tayysweeney for using their platform to spread awareness despite a few white folks getting uncomfy under their thread. so go check out their thread as well y’all.
as for me: this thread is going to be underlining the recurring issue of giving problematic white lesbians large platforms and silencing POC
let’s start with the main racial issue in the general white lesbian community: the usage of the word stud
stud is a word that Black lesbians use to describe themselves when referring to a masculine identity and should not be claimed by any other race. to do so would insinuate racial undertones that equate Blackness to hypermasculinity given that it is being used to describe a—
—non-Black body which makes the usage of the term out of context.

this leads me to my next point of cultural appropriation of Black culture. but are we shocked?
if you go through tiktok right now you’ll see countless videos of nonblack lesbians (especially white) referring to themselves as studs and mimicking what they think Black mannerisms are and get tons of VIEWS AND LIKES which reinforces a BIG ISSUE:
the issue is that: Black culture, styles, and other attributes are praised only WHEN THEY ARE NOT ON A BLACK PERSON
now that we’ve set the foundation, let’s get into taylor blake. if ANYBODY tries to come on my thread and say “oh stop digging up the past, she’s changed UWU” catch this block.
IN FACT i’ve read her pathetic apology she put out like 2 years ago and none of it addressed racism, cultural appropriation, or even a sincere, direct apology to the Black community and other minorities that her words harmed.
but it only matters that the yts forgave her. resultantly, she gained a larger platform BECAUSE her privilege AND the constant dismissal of racism plaguing twitter allowed her to...
TO ADD— i also notice how racist white women put on guises in order to deceive the very ppl that they don’t like into being fond of them. this is a tactic used to put members of the same race up against each other with the motive of alleviating white guilt if they have POC on—
—their side when really truly... they don’t like any of them at all. they will do this by erasing their prejudice and racist “history” and give everyone the impression that they are for racial justice to appeal to a targeted audience.
and when that guise doesn’t work anymore, they put on a new one and defend themselves to justify their superiority complex
exhibit b of getting POC on your side to convince them that you’ve changed when you really haven’t.
what i’ve noticed is that she’ll only speak on these issues when playing as her Karen character to detach her real herself from the issue and never speaks on the matter—-
—out of character. in fact, if you scroll down her page, there’s nothing acknowledging racism especially from recent events. there are no statements or even sharing of Black issues, petitions or anything that demonstrates true support of the Black community.
only when it is convenient and brings clout do fake allies speak on issues of racism. and they tell you what YOU want to hear but they don’t practice what they preach.
let the tweets just speak for themselves
18... she was 18 years old in 2015. let that sink in 😌.
if you want more receipts just look up “hiitaylorblake racist” or “Taylor blake racist”
ANYWAYS i’m done here unless I get any more request to add things onto the thread. James Baldwin would be so proud of us 🥺💕. #BlackLivesMatters
