1. Hi, I’m Marl. My real name is actually Marlon, but I’ve been using Marl since college. It’s the name my girl best friend gave to me cause I really hate my real one (cause it’s my dad’s name, too and I hate him with a burning passion)

2. Friends I met before 2015 call me Marlon while friends I met after call me Marl. Closer friends call me Marly or Marlito cause they can at least 3 people I met on twitter call me those names

3. I’m kinda musically inclined. I can play wind instruments, especially the clarinet. I was the head of my high school marching band because of it. Rn, I’m trying to learn how to play the guitar and keyboard

4. I’m actually a registered nurse. I graduated last year, passed my local board exams and got my license. I worked for a while, but then I had to concentrate on med school applications cause I want to be a doctor

5. My favorite subject in nursing school was actually Maternity and Pediatric Nursing. Maybe, I might lean into those fields in medschool

6. I’m an ambivert or maybe an extroverted introvert. I like hanging out with people just as much as I like being alone

7. I have tumblr but I don’t use it for stan. I like writing a lot and I write how I feel, so my tumblr which is still up since 2017 is full of my writings from a lot of my experiences

8. I had childhood ADHD, me thinks. I still manifest it at times. I have trouble concentrating and a short attention span and focusing is so hard.

9. For that reason, I like movies more than series. I like romantic comedies. I really dislike horror movies but I’m up for it

10. My family is just small. I have one younger sister and younger twin siblings. Maths tell me we’re 6 (including my mom)

11. I was a child achiever I graduated top of my class in gradeschool. Then I slipped from there though I graduated with honours in both HS and college

12. I used to join scrabble competitions. The highest I got was a silver medal in a regional competition

13. I don’t play basketball. I do play racket sports, particularly badminton and table tennis

14. So, I’m actually bisexual. I’ve been in relationships with two girls and three guys in the past. I’m currently talking with someone right now so yea

15. I’m really awkward in real life, but once we get comfortable with each other. I will make sure you feel comfortable with me.

16. One thing I hate about myself is that I’m a perfectionist. I take a lot of time to finish something because I want it to be as near as perfection as possible.

17. This is the reason I have autocorrect and autocapitalisation on. I want my English to be perfect but autocorrect has a mind of its own

18. I like working extra too. Like I do more than what someone asks me to do. My college papers and presentations were hella overworked for and my professors appreciated it.

19. I like cooking just as much as eating. Filipino cuisine is so diverse!! I like cooking Chinese and Spanish cuisine, too, both of which have strong influence on our own.

20. I’m a pretty nostalgic person. I hold onto memories a lot. It takes a lot in me to delete a post or a photo. I still have all photos in my phone of my exes and people who stayed in my past.

21. This is because I make meaningful relationships with people. It takes a lot in me to break someone off or to ghost someone out because I value every relationship I make.

22. Which meant moving on from a past relationship whether friend or lover took a long time. One time, it took a toll in my academics and I got removed from the Dean’s List

23. I hate writing down notes but I do have good handwriting. I’m so lazy to write stuff down and most of my notebooks are practically empty. I’d ask notes from others

24. But when I do write, I work for it with colors and shit. I’d take 1/4 of my notebook for colorful notes from one lecture day

25. My fave fruit is the grape. I prefer the purple more than the green ones. I actually choked on one yesterday.

36. With that, I really hate my country’s national fruit. I hate mangoes - the fruit in all its forms unless it’s mixed with graham

37. I have a sweet tooth and I love chocolates so much. It’s my favorite type of candy
