On these music shows, there are criteria's for a group to win an award.

SHOW CHAMPION

50% - DIGITAL SALES

20% - PRE-VOTE ( IDOL CHAMP APP)
● Voting period Thu - Sun

20% - BROADCAST SCORE
● based on how much song was played on MBC Music Programs

10% - SNS SCORES
( Youtube MV views and official hashtags)

60% - DIGITAL SALES
15% - LIVE VOTING
10%- YOUTUBE MV VIEWS

5 % - MBC Radio Broadcast

20% - BROADCAST POINTS
> based on how much the song was played on KBS programs

10% - Viewer Panel Survey

5% - Physical Album sales
> Hanteo album chart
> maximum 10,000 points

45% - DIGITAL SALES

20%- SOCIAL MEDIA
》YT MV views, MCountdown Stage views, official hashtags

15%- Physical Album Sales (Hanteo Chart)

10%- Broadcast score

10%- GLOBAL FAN VOTE ( MWAVE APP)

INKIGAYO

55% - DIGITAL SALES

10% - Physical Album Sales ( Gaon Chart)

10% - ON AIR
》 based on how much the songs was played on SBS TV and radio programs

30% - SNS SCORE
》 YT, twitter,weibo

5%- PRE-VOTE ( MELON AZTALK APP)
● Voting period Mon- Sat

"BROADCAST SCORE/POINTS" Criteria

SHOW CHAMPION - 20%
》 based on how much the song was played on MBC music programs

MUSIC BANK - 20%
》based on how much the song was played on KBS programs

MCOUNTDOWN - 10%
》based on MNet programs

"Broadcast Score" is the reason why it is a must to stream the ShowChampion/Music Bank Comeback stages on Youtube.

As for "SNS SCORE" criteria

INKIGAYO - 30%

M COUNTDOWN - 20%
》 based on Youtube MV Views, M Countdown stage views, official hashtags

SHOW CHAMPION - 10%
》 based on Youtube MV views and official hashtags

Now why do We need to stream Youtube Official MV Videos?

Youtube views not only contribute to "SNS Score" on Inkigayo/ShowChampion/Mcountdown

"YOUTUBE VIEWS" is also a criteria on

The Show- 20%
Show Music Core - 10%

When I was new to kpop, this is one of the things that really confused me.

What are these apps for?

IDOL CHAMP = SHOWCHAMPION
MWAVE = M COUNTDOWN
MUBEAT = SHOW! MUSIC CORE
STARPLAY = THE SHOW
MELON AZTALK = INKIGAYO

This is where we do the Pre-voting.

I made dis thread coz there are Arohas who's not really into kpop before (myself included) but since we met ASTRO everything changed and we are now drawn towards this Kpop world which is very new to us and there's a lot of confusing things. I hope this helps!

Additional on this (was not able to include earlier) is the "PHYSICAL ALBUM SALE" criteria

MCountdown - 15%
The Show - 10%
Inkigayo - 10%
Music Bank - 5%

In Show!Music Core 60% & Show Champion 50% physical & digital sales are combined.

As per the "PRE-VOTE" criteria

The Music show that has greater percentage on this criteria is Show Champion which is 20%

Inkigayo - 5%
The Show - 5%
MCountdown - 10%
Show! Music Core - 10%

It may seem less but every criteria matters.
