Often a random #stopandsearch is the first step in a longer chain of confrontation for Black and Brown people, and in particular Black men.
Black people are not often told why they are being stopped or searched. When they resist what they see as unfair interference, police reinforcements may be called in, and charges of & #39;resisting& #39; or assaulting the police are often subsequently brought.
