the black liberation theology I grew up with and still practice is *far* from the norm, and we can be honest about how conservatism and the prosperity gospel has taken over the “black church”

and how much of the “black church” has partnered with neoliberal elites for political access, lest we forget all the black pastors who signed onto Clinton/Biden’s crime bill, meanwhile the NAACP recognized it was “draconian”

the problem is that black leftists get jailed, ostracized, marginalized or killed, so there’s not enough of us in mainstream media to define what it is and instead people think Obama is a leftist bc he does a government
