Scottish Politicians as Hamilton pubs.

A thread.

Mrs Millsy’s = Mhairi Black - Understands what young people are after. Ready for a square go.
The Libertine = Richard Leonard - A bit weird at first but is actually much more tolerable than its predecessors.
Bar 147 = Derek Mackay = Avoid at all costs.
Stonehouse = Gordon Brown - A throwback to a bygone era. People wonder what it’s actually trying to do.
The George = Christina McKelvie - Excellent when in full flow. Strongly in favour of Scottish independence
Bar West = Douglas Ross - Staunch.
The Butterburn = John Swinney - Prepare to have your ear chewed off about a load of mince.
ML3 Bar = Nicola Sturgeon - Slightly more cosmopolitan and forward thinking than the surroundings suggest.
Jilts = Murdo Fraser - A permanent fixture despite being unpopular with the public. A mess.
Junkyard = Patrick Harvie - Popular among hipsters. Comfortably different from its peers. Loves a bit of up-cycling.
Hemmingways = Alex Salmond - Dodgier than it looks.
Accies Vaults = James Dornan - Might as well be painted green and white.
Bar Milano = Monica Lennon - Looks after women’s interests. One of the better choices available.
Strada = Willie Rennie - Unnecessarily bizarre and weird. Fails to do the basics right.
The Barleycorn = Ross Thomson - Avoid after sundown.
The Bay Horse = Ruth Davidson - An absolute mile oot.
Carrigan’s = Jackson Carlow - Looks harmless but wants to damage the health of the working class.
The Cosy Corner = Annie Wells - Sounds pretty friendly at first but is actually bonkers.
Courtyard = David Coburn - Exists in a dark little corner of the earth. Doesn’t get much attention.
Doherty’s = Ross Greer - Ruffles the feathers of Conservatives. Nice. Not quite as extreme as most people think.
The Peacock & Ivy = Jim Murphy - Unsuccessful rebrand.
The Manhattan Bar = Iain Gray - Don’t expect many thrills and spills here. Consistent. Doesn’t buy into fads.
Mavrix Bar = Alex Neil - Hang around for long enough and you’ll hear some of the craziest opinions you’ve ever heard in your life.
