Based on a previous tweet - what’s the roughest pub you’ve ever drank in / visited by accident / lived near?
Mine was The Bluebell Inn, a pub with a lovely name that was so terrifying, I didn’t set foot in it the whole time I lived 100 yards away from it.

I remember drinking in the Penny Black in Edinburgh, which opened at 6am (I was in the queue waiting for it to open, which looked like a police lineup). It resembled the Gem from Deadwood but with more heroin.
