And just in case you didn’t hear us the first time, this should INCLUDE college students https://twitter.com/theroot/status/1258798637909450756
A full-time college student shouldn’t have to switch to being an independent in the middle of a pandemic in order to get some type of compensation.
Even as dependents, our parents didn’t get anything for us, leaving us screwed.
It don’t have to be the full 2,000 but to not even think of how college students are being affected by this transition
Is wrong.
Even if we are classified as dependents, it’s only right to add that 500 to our parents checks, regardless of our age.
We need something.
Lol yall can stop telling me why we didn’t get a check. I know why. My issue is that I don’t agree with it.
Like there should be no reason why we’re not.
And you really shouldn’t have much to say if you’re already getting checks. Mind ya business
These comments are killing me. Basically y’all are saying if I’m college I’m supposed to be broke? No.
Idk why y’all think all college students are privileged but most of us NEED our parent(s) to claim us so we can get financial aid and STILL work to pay off remaining balances
I really want some of y’all to try to be a full-time student who is learning how to support yourself in the middle of a pandemic with no way to pay for upcoming balances and tell me how “okay” you’ll be with not getting any money.
Until then, I don’t wanna hear it. It’s Mother’s Day and I got a movie date with my mom to get ready for. Y’all have a bless one though
I think y’all are forgetting that we are in the middle got damn pandemic. All of these suggests are cute if life was normal, but it’s not. The country is literally shut down.
And since that’s happening, EVERYONE should receive some sort of payment. Dependent or not.
