1. Made them starve with an unprecedented lockdown. 2. With no work, no money, they were forced to walk hundreds of kms to their native states and many got run over by vehicles. 3. Those who were spared by vehicles, died of the tiredness of the hundred kms journey, expecially children. This 12 year old migrant worker girl walked 100 km and died 11 km away from her home. 4. After long lockdown, govt allowed buses at first. Straightly said 'no' to trains. Migrant workers came in large numbers to return. 6. The delayed enlightenment happened to Central govt after states pleading for trains. Trains were allowed, but will be charging 50 rupees additional to the normal ticket fares. Few days after trains allowed, states cancelled it again for favouring the builders in the cities, as they were citing they many need more workers when the construction works recommence after lockdown. 9. The right wing capitalist govts considered pandemic as an oppurtunity and cancelled key labour laws for 3 years. The worst thing to be in India at the time of pandemic is a migrant worker. They are starved, ignored, looted, forced to die in roadsides, run over by trains & treated like slaves. Nobody cares. Neither the government nor the privileged class!
