I just spent a little while reading my buddy @MichaelRCaputo’s just-released testimony to the House Intelligence Committee. Some thoughts to follow. https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/mc4.pdf
@MichaelRCaputo is very sharp, funny and honest. To his credit, he didn’t tire of the completely absurd lines of questioning—especially from Swalwell and Schiff, two bizarre Renfields chasing their own tails. Here’s a great description of working in Russia in the 90s.
On his friend Roger Stone’s opinion of Caputo’s time living and working in Russia. “He told me I was an idiot for living there.” Haha.
Swallwell is demanding to know how much money @MichaelRCaputo made while working abroad 30 years ago. Look how expertly it’s tossed back in his face. Bravo.
“You might not know this, but Roger Stone’s a pretty nice guy.”
“I think Roger saw me on television, did not like my performance or did not like my tie... it wasn’t the purpose of his call. His purpose was sartorial.”
Swalwell, so pathetic, asking if the Trump campaign used the Russian-owned Telegram messaging ap. Come on.
Dem Lawyer really curious about any encounters a campaign press guy might have had with Russian media. As if this will unravel some conspiracy.
Swalwell kept returning to a line of questioning that would be called “racist” in any other context. So gross.
