After trying the first episode or two of so many shows we've landed on Lucifer. It's amazing. It was already giving me so many things I want before we even got to 1x09, the first episode featuring yelling at God about existentialism

S2 is about to give me Tricia Helfer but not before giving me ELLA!
She's clever! She's friendly! Her second-ever scene was about how important doubts are for faith! Blessings all mine with ten thousand beside

Chloe just "I am better with you, Watson"ed Lucifer my heart
lmao @ them introducing Tricia with his moody cover of All Along the Watchtower
I genuinely love this show, I'm so thrilled

Sometimes a family is a detective, a bounty hunter demon, and a kid addicted to chocolate cake
I would have sworn I wasn't really rooting for this but the end of 2x11 (I think), the beach, the soft faces, "Detective" he pined piningly, I'm undone
I was deeply moved by Amenadiel not being moved from Chloe's hospital room

It makes seeense
Don't overthink it

HOW CAN I HELP WHEN I'M SUPPOSED TO KILL MY OWN FATHER
Linda's lil speech about missing when she thought she could maybe come back as a chameleon was great and super sad
Oh and then Amanadiel pointing out there are always questions

Season 3 is a joy so far. Amenadiel makes me laugh out loud every scene he's in and actual-Charlotte is much more fun than goddess-Charlotte. I miss Maze but otoh they're doing a way better job dealing with her pregnancy/absence than uh some other shows
Now Lauren Lapkus is guest starring as Abel. This show is incredible
The first thing in this entire show to test my suspension of disbelief is Chloe saying yes to a proposal after 1.5 dates, has he even met Trixie or just brought her one (1) piece of cake?
welp we both cried when Charlotte [redacted] and then a little harder when Amenadiel [redacted]
Amenadiel has broken my heart this season on his endless self-imposed quest to please God, but like, how tender, what a beautiful arc. Charlotte's too. Real feelings.

The COMPETENCE in this show is thrilling. The plot so rarely relies on, like, the detective suddenly missing an obvious clue or the super-strong demon not being able to overpower cronies. Linda is a good therapist! Questionable personal boundaries notwithstanding.
Anyway I loved 3x24. A lot
Wish I'd known it was the season finale BEFORE these two bizarre "bonus" episodes
S4 got off to a very rocky start tbh but now they're both in the know and both sad so that's better, and I'm curious about Eve tbh
More importantly, Amenadiel's proposal >>> Cain's proposal, response included
mmk, I don't want to say season 4 is *bad* but Ella and Dan is like...bad
Like I thought Lucifer was gonna go talk to Ella about having faith but instead she made out with Dan?? Literally out of nowhere?? The first time this show has personally offended me
Deep apologies for not wrapping up this thread. Particularly for not mentioning Maze's anyway here's Wonderwall, which was a standout moment of the whole show imo
